Interests:
I enjoy disappearing into a book, taking pictures, and singing. I love spending time with my family, Steve, Lydia, and Kirk, and my extended family. I am happiest with a cat curled up on my lap.
Philosophy of Teaching:
I believe in meeting each child where they are and loving them along as they grow. Interacting with each child, playing, and creating with them is integral to the process of helping them to develop their knowledge, language, and social interaction skills.
Classroom Goals:
My goal for the classroom is to provide a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for children to explore, learn, and grow. A variety of activities for learning and for play are available for them to experience. The preschool-two classroom is a safe and fun place where children experience the love of their teachers.
Our classroom is a community of learners, which includes parents, teachers, administration, and students. All children in our classroom are capable, creative, and unique children of God. I want the children in my classroom to think creatively, work collaboratively, and see themselves as the individuals God has created them to be, in relationship with others.
