Philosophy of Teaching:
In our world today, our children need to be equipped with all twelve 21st century educational skills: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information literacy, media literacy, technology literacy, flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, and social skills, but above all our children need to know Christ, His sacrificial love and the grace that He imparts on each of His children daily. In the complexities that our children will face, they need training and preparation to not only have a strong educational background, but also the willpower and perseverance to overcome obstacles of the future. It is the partnership between parent and teacher that will bring our children up as God directs us, not of this world, but in this world, to be knowledgeable and to defend their faith. Lutheran Education is the opportunity to raise the next generation in the love of Christ Jesus and make disciples of all nations in whichever vocational path God directs them to go.
Classroom Goals:
To create a Christ-centered environment where students feel safe to be themselves and grow. Educational foundations will continue to be strengthened, preparing students for the world outside of Immanuel Lutheran School.
