MIXED AGES
A multi-grade level classroom gives students the unique opportunity to be challenged and encouraged by their peers.
This Studio classroom is a unique, highly personalized, multi-level classroom where students are empowered to design and personally pace their learning. Students are Inspired to Learn, Inspired to Do, and Inspired to Be. They Learn through self-paced learning of core academic skills and Socratic discussions to encourage critical thinking and lifelong learning. They Do through engagement in hands-on project based learning, being active participants, designers and evaluators of their own learning. And, they Be by discovering God’s unique plan for their life and playing an essential part in the community and world.
At Immanuel, we believe God has uniquely designed each child and has rooted their identity in Him. We believe that students grow not only in His love and grace, but also into the discovery of the gifts and talents by which they will impact the world around them (1 Cor. 12:12-31). We feel it is our mission to help equip students to courageously serve Christ in a changing world.
Immanuel approaches education in an innovative way utilizing an instructional method that recognizes every student as a unique child of God. Our Inspire classroom is a leader in education utilizing research-based practices and instructional methods that are proven to empower students, equipping them to be creators, decision makers, critical thinkers, designers, and world changers.
The Studio classroom is not intended to replace the traditional classrooms. While both programs instill confidence and excitement, each educational model represents and reflects students’ unique style of learning.
