The Missouri Scholars (MO Scholars) Program is a state-sponsored scholarship program that helps make private education more affordable for families. Through this program, eligible students at our Lutheran school may receive tuition assistance funded by donations from Missouri taxpayers, at no cost to families. MO Scholars allows families to choose a Christ-centered education while strengthening opportunities for students across our community.
Who Is a Qualified Student?
A student may qualify if they meet Missouri state requirements and one of the following applies:
- The student has an approved Individualized Education Program (IEP) under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
(Note: Students with ISPs that are not IDEA-based are not eligible.)
OR
- The student’s household income is at or below 300% of the free or reduced lunch limit, and the student meets one of these:
- Attended a Missouri public school full-time for at least one semester in the past year
- Is eligible to start kindergarten or first grade
- Has a sibling currently receiving a scholarship and who received one last school year
What it is: MOScholars gives Missouri families more education choices by providing scholarships to eligible students through approved nonprofit Education Assistance Organizations (EAOs).

How MOScholars Tax Credits Work
People and businesses in Missouri can earn state tax credits when they donate to approved nonprofit organizations called Education Assistance Organizations (EAOs).
If you qualify for MOScholars and plan to apply (or have applied), please let the School Office know.
Disclaimer: If you do not receive a scholarship, you will be responsible for all remaining tuition.
