I enjoy hiking, travelling, and photography. I also enjoy learning about and implementing new technology such as arduino and raspberry pi. I also love to start (and finish) new building projects. Recently I've become interested in woodworking and electronic circuit design.

Philosophy of Teaching:
I believe every student comes into my classroom with varying levels of expertise, interest, and curiosity. I find it imperative to meet every students’ varying levels and help nurture their creative nature. I find the most powerful method of teaching is through project based learning. Allowing students the opportunity to openly explore and play with information, in both the physical and digital world, helps them create stronger connections to information attained and creates a more meaningful experience.

Classroom Goals:
• Every student feels safe and secure within my classroom.
• Students walk away with a meaningful experience, understanding, and application of information in my class.
• Each day is a new adventure in the topic of computer science.
• Every student appreciates how technology works and can apply it to everyday life.
• Students understand that how they conduct themselves online is not only a reflection of who they are but also a reflection of WHO they represent.

Technology Coach:
As technology coach for Immanuel, I work directly with teachers and administration to find the best course of technology integration for the school. I work directly with teachers to find technology solutions for classroom use, such as iPad or Smartboard integration.
