Music Ministry
“Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise. The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to us that we should proclaim the Word of God in Music.” Martin Luther
Immanuel’s Music Ministry offers ample opportunities for you to “proclaim the Word of God in Music.” Take a moment to consider how you can be a part of this exciting ministry at Immanuel.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir sings in worship services at least twice a month. The Adult Choir plays a significant role in festival and holiday services. Rehearsals are held in the Music Room of our school on Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning after Labor Day. Teens and adults of any age are welcome.
Jubilate
This group is comprised primarily of Adult Choir members. However, singers who are not able to be in Adult Choir are often invited into this ensemble. Jubilate sings extended works for both Christmas Day and Good Friday. It also sings for other Sundays and occasions.
Brass Ensemble
Immanuel's Brass brings glorious sounds of praise and exultation to our worship. The Brass Ensemble participates in worship monthly and on special occasions.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday nights at 8:45 p.m. in the Music Room, beginning after Labor Day.
Orchestra
The Immanuel Orchestra welcomes instruments of all kinds as it gathers for festival services of the church year and the Boar’s Head Christmas Festival. Rehearsals are scheduled when needed. If you play a woodwind, stringed, brass or percussion instrument, contact Mr. Schempf at 636-946-2656 ext 266 or aschempf@immanuelstcharles.org.
Grace Notes
This group of adults will again be ringing praises to the Lord and is looking forward to another year of joyful ringing in Immanuel's worship services and community functions. Practices are held in the Fellowship Hall, Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
