ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION: The Athletic Association helps to support athletics at Immanuel Lutheran School through various fundraisers. They also organize volunteers to run events. CHRIST CASSEROLE CREW: Christ’s Casserole Crew exists to share the mercy and compassion that is Christ’s. We do this by preparing frozen, unbaked casserole meals and offering to deliver them to Immanuel members and neighbors who are in need. CHURCH LEADERSHIP TEAM: The Church Leadership Team (CLT) refers to members who have a responsibility to God, each other, the ministerial and support staff, Stewards and the Community. A key responsibility is to define and effectively communicate the vision to the Stewards. They shall endeavor to follow the scriptures regarding applicable qualifications. EVANGELISM: The main objective of this Ministry Action Team is to encourage and equip members of the congregation to bring the Gospel to the unchurched, enlist all of God’s people in the work of spreading the Gospel, and strengthen the faith and witness of the members of this congregation. EVENING GUILD: The Evening Guild serves the congregation in various ways. For instance, they save stamps for missions and hold monthly meetings with topics and Bible studies. GARDENING GROUP: Making Immanuel’s Campus Beautiful is the goal of this group! The Gardening Group is made up of church and school volunteers who enjoy gardening. NAOMI CIRCLE MINISTRY FOR WIDOWS: Immanuel congregation provides loving care, support and encouragement for the widows of Immanuel as directed in James 1:27 “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world”. NEHEMIAHS: This group of Immanuel volunteers (mostly retired members) provide project help for the Immanuel Campus and members of the congregation. They have skills in various areas of electrical, general construction, handy work, painting, plumbing and yard work. Please contact Tom Wiley at 636-724-0282, if there is a project you want them to consider or if you would like to serve as a volunteer worker. Free will offerings are accepted to fund Campus projects and members in need.
PARENT-TEACHER LEAGUE (PTL): The PTL provides financial support for the school in a variety of ways, through the money raised from the yearly fundraiser and ongoing Scrip sales. They make donations such as: a financial gift to the teachers for classroom expenses, buses for field trips, encyclopedias, lockers, building safety and playground equipment. CHURCH & SCHOOL PARADE/PICNIC COMMITTEE: This committee seeks to strengthen the fellowship between congregational members, both spiritually and socially. QUARTER LIFE: Quarter Life is a group for college-aged adults to young thirty year-olds. We focus on having social, servant, and spiritual events in order to form deeper relationships with each other, our community and our Savior. If you have young children, you are most welcome too! SCHOLARSHIPS: The Principal’s Advisory Group accepts and screens applications for scholarships available to Missouri Synod elementary schools.
SCHOOL LIBRARY: The ILS Library provides nonfiction books and periodicals to support our school curriculum and works of fiction that appeal to students from preschool to eighth grade. SOCIAL MINISTRIES TEAM: Jesus’ words from Matthew 22 tell us to “Love your neighbor as yourself”. This is really the essence of the mission of the Immanuel Social Ministry. It is our purpose to motivate and educate the congregation for service to the needs of fellow members and the people in our community, encourage participation in community projects and service organizations, and coordinate and support projects within the parish. Projects include charity donations distribution to assist in our congregation and community, birthday card ministry where age 80 and over congregation members receive a signed birthday card from the pastors, and staffing the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen with volunteers to prepare and serve lunch every Friday. VOTERS’ ASSEMBLY: Meets once annually, usually in May or June. Communicant members of Immanuel, 18 years of age and older, are eligible to join. WEDDING COORDINATOR: Your wedding coordinator will help you manage all the plans for your church service, rehearsal and wedding. The coordinator will also manage the rehearsal, pre-service details, training for the participants (such as groomsmen, bridesmaids, ushers, etc.) and after-service matters.
