Philosophy of Teaching:
First, I believe that differentiation of instruction is necessary in order to meet the diverse learning needs of students in my classroom. Each student learns in a unique way, and in my classroom I will strive to create educational opportunities for my students to use their strengths. The next cornerstone of my philosophy of teaching has to do with purpose. Students in my classroom will have the purposes of learning, cooperating as a body of Christ, and deepening their faith. I also want students to explore and discover their talents so that they can be made more aware of God’s purpose for their lives. Finally, I believe that every student is a child of God as St. Paul writes in Galatians 3:26, “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” It is my belief that the teaching ministry involves not only teaching young minds but also encouraging children to be disciples so that they can spread the Gospel message to others.

Classroom Goals:
As a Lutheran educator, some of my classroom goals include deepening students’ faith and supporting my students to live out a Christian world view. In addition, I want to make learning
engaging for the students. Finally, I want my students to learn how to be Christ followers in today’s society.
